The Professor Test

Out of curiosity I took the Pokemon Professor Test the other day, let me just say that it is a very hard test. If you pass the test well, uh, you are a Professor, hence the name. I want to pass it because I always like to know as much as possible about any game that I am playing.

The test is limited to 45 minutes and you have to get 32 out of the 40 questions correct, the format is multiple choice.

I have taken it twice, the first time I was just wondering how hard the thing really was, so I took it, answered 3 questions (got them right, wahoo) and submitted it. I just did not have the time to spend on it right then, not to mention that I had been playing Pokemon TCG for all of 2 weeks.

I took it again the other day and did finish it, however I only got 16 out of 40 right. To be honest I think that is pretty good. It is not like I have been playing for years or even have time to play hours a day. I do have a job and stuff you know! I have been playing for about 6 weeks as of writing this.

Anyway, I missed a lot of the “what if” type questions, and several questions that dealt with how to give out penalties and infractions in a tournament. Not like I have studied or anything so it was not unexpected that I missed them.

Anyway, I have another 30 days before I can retake it, I figure to shoot for 28 or so right this time and pass it by the end of the year.

Like I said, I do not have much desire in being a judge, I just like a challenge and I like to know the rules to the game backwards and forwards, that way if someone is trying to cheat the old guy I will know it….
